Funding Deals
Ola Electric has closed a $140 million funding round led by Singapore’s sovereign fund Temasek, which will value the electric scooter manufacturer at $5.4 billion.
Electric scooter manufacturer Ather Energy has raised Rs 900 crore from existing investors Hero MotoCorp and GIC through right issue.
Digital gaming and esports company Nazara Technologies has raised Rs 410 crore from SBI Mutual Fund, marking the second tranche of Rs 750 crore fundraising.
Pepperfry announced that it has raised around $23 million from existing investors, including institutional investors and family offices over the past three months. The firm, however, did not disclose the names.
B2B fish and seafood company Captain Fresh has scooped up $20 million in an extended Series C round led by Japan-based SBI Investment and Evolvence Capital. Internal investors: Accel, Matrix Partners India, Prosus Ventures and Tiger Global also participated in the round.
FabHotels’ parent Casa2 Stays has raised funding to the tune of $20 million from new and existing backers. Panthera led $20 million in Casa2 Stays while existing investors also participated in this round.
Digital gaming and e-sports company Nazara Technologies has raised Rs 100 crore or $12 million from Kamath Associates & NKSquared.
HRtech startup Atomicwork has raised $11 million in a seed funding round led by Blume Ventures and Matrix Partners India with participation from Storm Ventures, Neon Fund, and prominent angel investors from Silicon Valley and India.
Mumbai-based interior design startup Flipspaces has raised $4 million in its pre-Series B round led by Prashasta Seth, former CEO of IIFL AMC.
Biomaterials startup altM has secured $3.5 million in a seed round led by Omnivore along with participation from Theia Ventures, Thai Wah Ventures, Sanjiv Rangrass, Neha Mudaliar, Maninder Gulati, Mirik Gogri and Paula Mariwala.
Cirkla, a sustainable packaging company, has raised $3 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Matrix Partners India and Stellaris Venture Partners, with participation from angel investors.
Space-tech startup Manastu Space has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by Capital 2B, BIG Capital, and E2MC.
