Funding Deals
Edtech unicorn upGrad has raised Rs 287.5 crore (approximately $35 million) from EvolutionX.
Rocketlane, a B2B software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup, has raised $24 million (about Rs 200 crore) in a funding round co-led by 8VC, Matrix Partners India, and Nexus Venture Partners.
Co-working space solutions provider Smartworks has raised Rs 168 crore ($20.24 million) from a group of investors including Keppel, Ananta Capital Ventures Fund I, Plutus Capital, family trusts, and HNIs.
Business-to-business (B2B) fashion marketplace Zyod has raised $18 million in equity and debt funding. Venture firm RTP Global led the funding, while the debt capital was raised from Stride Ventures, Trifecta Capital, and Alteria Capital.
Online gold loan platform Rupeek has secured Rs 125 crore (approximately $15 million) in primary funding from Elevation Capital.
Healthcare startup Doceree has raised Rs 113.5 crore (approximately $13.6 million) from Indian private equity firm Creaegis.
Omnichannel retailer Bluestone has raised Rs 100 crore or $12 million in debt from Neo Markets.
Cloudphysician, an online healthcare and technology solutions provider, has raised $10.5 million (about Rs 87.7 crore) in a funding round led by Peak XV Partners.
D2C dairy brand Sid’s Farm has raised $10 million in Series A funding co-led by Omnivore and Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office (NSFO).
Actor Rana Daggubati has launched a new tequila with south Indian musician Anirudh Ravichander and Sree Harsha Vadlamudi, owner of microbrewery Ironhill India. The three have invested a combined $10 million in the company, Ironhill Hospitality Pvt Ltd. The tequila, called Loca Loka, will be made from 100% agave grown in the Jalisco region of Mexico.
Electric motorcycle maker Matter Motors has raised Rs 82 crore in a funding round that saw investments from Japan Airlines & TransLink Innovation Fund and Helena Special Investments Fund, among others.
Agritech startup Two Brothers Organic Farms has raised Rs 58.2 crore in an equity funding round led by Zerodha cofounder Nithin Kamath’s Rainmatter Foundation. The round also saw participation from Silicon Valley entrepreneur Raju Chekuri, founder of the cybersecurity firm NetEnrich.
