Good Glamm strikes JV with Serena Williams for launch of beauty brand in US
Content-to-commerce company The Good Glamm Group has struck a joint venture with former tennis player-turned-entrepreneur Serena Williams to launch a line of beauty products under the brand 'Wyn Beauty by Serena Williams' in the US market. Williams joins other celebrities including Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Kylie Jenner and Jessica Alba who have ventured into the beauty space with their product lines.
Amazon India’s largest seller Appario sold to Clicktech
Amazon India seller Clicktech has acquired its peer Appario as part of the ecommerce major’s plan to divest stakes in sellers on its platform. Appario is the largest seller on Amazon India after Cloudtail was shuttered, and moves a significant volume of orders for the local arm of the US-based etailer.
Ecomm, gaming, financial services comprise 80% of online transactions in H2 2023: Report
Ecommerce, gaming, utilities, government and financial services contributed to about 80% of total online transactions during the second half of 2023, according to a report by French payment company Worldline. Credit cards saw the highest surge with a 21% year-on-year growth to 97.9 million, followed by a 13% growth in prepaid cards and a 2% growth in debit cards.

Legal technology company Luminance, which sells software to automate the contracts process for legal teams, has raised $40 million in a new funding round led by Santa Monica-based venture firm March Capital.
SingleInterface, a marketing software startup, has raised $30 million in its first external funding round led by Singapore-headquartered growth equity investment firm Asia Partners. The round also saw participation from PayPal Ventures.
BeepKart, a full stack retailer of used two-wheelers, has extended its Series A round by securing Rs 54 crore (approximately $6.5 million) from its existing investors including Chiratae Ventures, Stellaris Venture Partners, and Vertex Ventures.
SiftHub, an artificial intelligence-enabled platform for enterprise sales teams, has raised $5.5 million in a seed round of funding led by Matrix Partners India and Blume Ventures.
Deeptech startup Planys Technologies has raised $4 million in its ongoing pre-Series A round. Himalaya Finance, Golden Birch Investments, Krishna Defence, Impact India Investments, SiriusOne Capital, and several individuals including Ashish Ramesh Kacholia, Shalini Chhabra, and Puneet Gupta participated during the new investment tranche.
Full-stack metal supply-chain platform Metalbook has raised Rs 25 crore or (approximately $3 million) from Northern Arc.
Generation artifical intelligence (AI) startup Vodex has raised $2 million in its seed round from Unicorn India Ventures and Pentathlon Ventures.
Agritech startup ONO has raised Rs 11 crore in its seed round led by Aeravti Ventures, with participation from Indigram Labs.
Mave Health, a mental health-tech startup, has raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by All-In Capital and Utsav Somani’s iSeed Fund with participation from Bharat Founders Fund, Deepinder Goyal (Zomato), Kunal Shah (CRED), Mohit Kumar and Vatsal Singhal (Ultrahuman).
Ashish Kacholia—the former co-founder of Hungama Digital—has acquired an 18% stake in burger chain Jumboking Foods Private Limited in a secondary transaction.
Rocksport, a provider of in-school adventure programs, has secured a new round of investment from Brand Capital, the strategic investment arm of The Times of India. With this latest funding, Rocksport has raised nearly $3 million, to close its Series A round, elevating its valuation to $30 million.
