Tata-owned BigBasket, Nexus Venture Partners-backed Zepto and Swiggy’s Instamart have seen a surge in orders in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) after Zomato-owned Blinkit’s delivery executives went on a strike over a change in their pay-out structure.
Daily orders for the three quick-commerce platforms have increased 25-50%.
BB Now, jumped 46% in Delhi and 61% in both Gurgaon and Noida on April 13 and 14 compared with the same days last month.
Zepto has experienced a surge in orders by 40%, while Swiggy's Instamart has seen a daily order jump of more than 25%.

Apple chief executive officer Tim Cook is expected to meet government officials and discuss manufacturing more products locally.
The tech major, which currently manufactures iPhones in India through its contract manufacturers, may start the production of headphones, iPads, and watches. Apple iPhone exports crossed Rs 40,000 crore in FY23.
The company’s three Taiwanese contract manufacturers — Foxconn (Hon Hai), Wistron, and Pegatron — currently make and export iPhone 12, 13, and 14 models from their plants in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Apple will open its first India store in Mumbai today, adding the country to the likes of the US, UK, China, and Singapore where the iPhone maker has its own retail stores.
Elon Musk to launch rival to Microsoft-backed ChatGPT⚔️
Elon Musk on Monday announced his intention to introduce an AI platform named "TruthGPT" to compete against the current offerings from Microsoft and Google.
Musk further criticised Microsoft-backed OpenAI, the firm behind chatbot sensation ChatGPT, for "training the AI to lie". It said OpenAI has now become a "closed source", "for-profit" organisation "closely allied with Microsoft".
"I'm going to start something which I call 'TruthGPT', or a maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe," Musk said in an interview.
Elon Musk recently registered a company called X.AI Corp in Nevada, as per state records.

Vision AI startup SwitchOn has raised $4.2 million in its Series A round led by a Singapore-based fund, Axilor Ventures, Pi Ventures, and angels such as Anuj Bihani, Laxmi Narayan, and others.
Blue-collar workforce management firm BetterPlace has acquired TROOPERS, Malaysia’s flexi talent solutions technology player for an undisclosed amount.
Edtech startup Toprankers has acquired the New Delhi-based career guidance platform ProBano.
