PhysicsWallah announces joint venture with Utkarsh Classes🤝🏻
PW (PhysicsWallah), one of the leading edtech platforms in India, has signed a long-term agreement to establish a joint venture with Utkarsh Classes, which has its headquarters in Jodhpur.
The organisations hope to give education that adds value across all examinations through this collaboration, and they also wish to enter new exam categories jointly.
Utkarsh Classes mainly provides offline and online learning courses for government exams, and has ventured into various exam categories like defence, NEET-JEE, CLAT, CUET, and online tuitions for students of classes 6 to 12.
Utkarsh Classes has over 11 million subscribers on its main channel on YouTube, while PhysicsWallah has around 9.7 million subscribers on its main channel.
Ashneer Grover’s Third Unicorn forays into fantasy sports with CrickPe🏏
Third Unicorn, a new venture floated by former BharatPe co-founder and MD Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri Jain, is targeting the fantasy sports genre with a new app called CrickPe.
Grover has also roped in Dubai-based blockchain services firm BlockTech Brew’s executive Aseem Ghavri as the co-founder of his new venture.
CricPe will largely pit against Dream11, which has created a sort of monopoly in India’s fantasy sports segment and has a market size of over Rs 34,000 crores.
Meta builds an A-team focused on AI products💻
Meta Platforms Inc is creating a new top-level product group focused on generative artificial intelligence (AI), as the AI race among Big Tech firms heats up.
AI has emerged as a bright spot for investments in the tech industry, which has been struggling with slowing growth and has cut thousands of jobs as well as dialed down on experimental bets to beat the downturn.
The public battle to dominate the AI technology space kicked off late last year with the launch of Microsoft-backed OpenAI's ChatGPT, which has since prompted tech heavyweights from Alphabet Inc to China's Baidu Inc to announce their own offerings.
