Centre announces new scheme to subsidise electric two- and three-wheelers
The central government has announced a new Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) to promote sales of electric two- and three-wheelers across the country. The new scheme extends subsidies on electric vehicles (EVs) with incentives of up to Rs 10,000 per two-wheeler, Rs 25,000 per light three-wheeler (such as e-rickshaws), and Rs 50,000 per heavy three-wheeler (such as autos and commercial units).
NPCI grants Paytm third-party app status for UPI transactions
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on Thursday granted Paytm parent One 97 Communications (OCL) the necessary approval to operate as a third-party application provider (TPAP) on the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) network.
Qualcomm inaugurates its Chennai Design Center
American chipmaker Qualcomm on Thursday inaugurated its Chennai Design Center. Set up with an investment of Rs 177.27 crore, it will specialise in wireless connectivity solutions, with a focus on innovations that complement Wi-Fi technologies.
Apple supplier Rayprus eyeing Bengaluru facility
One more Apple supplier, Rayprus Technologies, is looking to set up a manufacturing base in India. A Foxconn subsidiary, Rayprus makes high-quality precision cameras and lenses, and will set up shop within the new Foxconn campus in Bengaluru.

Healthcare-based data intelligence platform HiLabs has raised $39 million as part of its latest funding round led by Eight Roads Ventures and Denali Growth Partners.
CureSkin, a beauty and personal care brand, has raised $20 million in a Series B funding round led by Healthquad. The round also saw participation from JSW Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and Sharrp Ventures.
Brand analytics platform GobbleCube, cofounded by former executives of quick-commerce firm Blinkit, has secured $1.9 million in a seed funding round led by early-stage venture capital firm Kae Capital.
Fintech mobility startup Pumpumpum has raised Rs 2 crore in a new round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV).
