Elon Musk's satellite internet venture Starlink has received an in-principle approval from the telecom ministry. This comes days before Musk’s scheduled meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, clearing a critical hurdle that the venture has been facing for almost three-and-a-half years.

Namma Yatri launches cab services in Bengaluru, says no subscription fee till October
Namma Yatri, the ride-hailing upstart that championed subscriptions early on instead of commissions, has officially launched cab services in Bengaluru. The firm will not charge any subscription fees for the first few months, and start charging Rs 90 per day for unlimited rides after October 1. This contrasts with the 25-30% commission per ride currently charged by Ola and Uber.

IT services major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is equipped with one of the largest and most AI-ready workforces in the world, chief executive officer K Krithivasan told employees in an email at the start of the new fiscal.

Consumer lending app RING has raised Rs 100 crore in venture debt from Trifecta Capital.
Quick service restaurant chain Wow! Momo has raised Rs 70 crore (approximately $9 million) in an extended Series D round from Z3 Partners.
LightFury Games, a gaming startup has secured $8.5 million in a seed funding round led by Blume Ventures, Mixi and Gemba Capital. Other investors such as Cred founder Kunal Shah and Unacademy CEO Gaurav Munjal also participated in the round.
Emergency healthcare provider Medulance has raised $3 million in Series A funding led by Alkemi Growth Capital. The round also saw participation from marquee investors such as Dexter Capital, Aman Gupta, and Namita Thapar.
PineGap.ai, a New York-headquartered AI SaaS startup has raised a $2.5 million seed round from US-based investors SVQuad and Inventus Capital.
Bamboo products maker Amwoodo has raised $1 million in funding from Zerodha-backed venture fund Rainmatter.
Delhi-based leg care brand Varco Leg Care has raised $500,000 (over Rs 4.5 crore) in Seed funding round led by Sunicon Maiden Fund, an early-stage venture fund curated by Sunicon Ventures.
PlanckDOT, a technology startup specializing in edge data centers, has raised $350,000 in its bridge round at a valuation of $30 million.
Navata Supply Chain Solutions has raised an undisclosed sum in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Equanimity Ventures.
