Sachin Bansal exits Ather Energy selling remaining stake to Hero MotoCorp, Nikhil Kamath
Flipkart cofounder Sachin Bansal has sold his remaining 7.5% stake in electric scooter maker Ather Energy. One of the first investors in Ather, Bansal had invested around Rs 400 crore over the years starting from 2014.
TCS launches artificial intelligence platform to hasten GenAI adoption
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) on Friday launched TCS AI WisdomNext, an artificial intelligence platform under its newly-carved AI.Cloud unit, to help its clients quickly embrace new-age technologies like generative AI (GenAI) at affordable costs.
Blackstone sells Mphasis tranche in early Monday trade
Blackstone sold 29.5 million shares in Mphasis Ltd, amounting to a 15.6% stake, via a block deal early on 10 June, as per data on Bloomberg. With this, Blackstone has sold shares amounting to ₹7,066 crore in the information technology services company.
PM Modi’s third term begins, 72-member Cabinet unveiled
Narendra Modi took the oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive term on Sunday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. This is a feat that has only been achieved by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru so far. Following the principle of coalition dharma, the new Council of Ministers will be made up of 72 ministers, including 11 who belong to the NDA alliance. The Modi 3.0 team will have 30 Cabinet Ministers, 5 Ministers of State with Independent Charge, and 36 Ministers of State.
Funding Deals
Ahmedabad-based new-age ice cream brand Hocco has concluded a Rs 100-crore ($12 million) fundraise led by its promoter group Chona family and existing investor Sauce VC.
Non-banking financial company (NBFC) Arthan Finance has raised Rs 50 crore ($6 million) from investors such as the Incofin India Progress Fund and the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation.
Swaayatt Robots, a Bhopal-based autonomous driving startup, has raised $4 million from US-based angel investors.
