Ixigo shares zoom 112% in two days
Shares of Le Travenues Technology, which operates the travel platform Ixigo, continued to rally a day after the company listed on the bourses. The stock zoomed 19% on Wednesday to the day's high of Rs 194.38 on the BSE. It closed at Rs 185.25, up 14.3%.
Nvidia is now the world’s most valuable company
Chip maker Nvidia’s shares have surged dramatically, making it the world’s most valuable company, underlining the outsized role investors expect artificial intelligence (AI) to play in the global economy over the coming years. Nvidia shares rose about 3% on Tuesday, giving it a market valuation of about $3.33 trillion.
TMRW invests Rs 125 crore in Virat Kohli-backed Wrogn
TMRW House of Brands, an e-commerce rollup venture owned by Aditya Birla Group Venture, has invested Rs 125 crore ($15 million) in Wrogn, the men's wear brand backed by Accel and cricketer Virat Kohli. TMRW’s portfolio now consists of eight Indian fashion brands.
VC firms General Catalyst and Venture Highway merge to focus on India
India-focused venture capital firm Venture Highway (VH) is merging with Silicon Valley-based General Catalyst (GC) as they aim to create one of the most powerful venture platforms to support the next generation of entrepreneurs in India.
Funding Deals
Supermoney, an SME-focused digital lending platform, has raised $3.4 million (Rs 28.6 crore) in its Series A round from Capital 2B and Capria Ventures.
Fintech startup POP has raised $2.4 million in seed funding round led by India Quotient and a few prominent angel investors.
Ice cream brand Go Zero has raised $1.5 million in its follow-on pre-Series A funding round from DSG Consumer Partners, Saama, and V3 Ventures, among others. The round also saw participation from notable angel investors such as Arjun Purkayastha.
Metis Intellisystems, an artificial intelligence and machine learning platform for BFSI, has raised 1.3 crore in a round led by Inflection Point Ventures.
