Jio’s 5G rollout to be fastest in the world🗼
India’s largest telco, Reliance Jio, will clock the fastest rollout of 5G services in the world, said chairman Akash Ambani.
Jio has launched 5G services in 277 cities so far in India, with the largest deployment of over 40,000 sites and 250,000 cells in the 700 Mhz as well as in the 3500 Mhz band, he said.
“We are on the path to achieving the declared goal to increase Jio 5G footprint month after month and are aiming to cover every town, every taluka, and every tehsil across the nation by December 2023. This will be the world’s fastest 5G rollout," he added.
Faasos parent Rebel Foods to run US fast-food chain Wendy’s in India🌯
Wendy’s has struck a deal with Rebel Foods to scale the fast food chain’s physical presence in India to 150 locations.
In the expanded relationship, Rebel Foods will develop about 150 traditional Wendy’s restaurants over the next decade. Wendy’s is in 90 locations across 19 cities at present, with its three traditional restaurants being operated by Rebel.
This deal takes forward their earlier partnership signed in 2020, under which Rebel Foods will launch 250 former’s delivery-only stores, also known as cloud kitchens, in India.

Disney, Viacom18 set up epic clash for IPL viewers, revenues🏏
Disney Star and Viacom18, which have won rights to broadcast and stream the Indian Premier League (IPL), are vying to win over viewers and advertisers for their platforms ahead of the 16th edition of the T20 cricket league, which is set to begin on 31 March.
Viacom18 fired the first salvo in the war for audiences and advertising revenue by offering IPL fans the opportunity to watch the league for free on its digital platform.
In response, Disney Star, which has the rights to broadcast IPL matches, is considering airing select IPL matches on its free-to-air channels.
Disney Star has retained the TV rights for the IPL for the next five years by bidding ₹23,575 crores in total, while Viacom18 acquired exclusive digital rights for a total of ₹23,757.5 crores.
