Ambani to stream IPL for free after paying $2.7 Bn🏏
Billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s conglomerate will stream Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket games for free, using its exclusive rights to one of the world’s most-watched sporting events.
Viacom18 Media Pvt., the joint venture between Paramount Global and Ambani’s conglomerate Reliance Industries Ltd., licensed the IPL streaming rights last year for $2.7 billion, fending off competitors Disney and Sony Group Corp.
Free media services such as Google and Facebook generate billions of dollars in advertising sales in the country and have had far more success than paid premium products like Netflix.
Zomato replaces 10-min delivery with home-style meals under ‘Everyday’🍴
Gurgaon-based food delivery platform Zomato on Wednesday launched Zomato Everyday which will offer affordable meals cooked by home chefs.
Zomato Everyday will replace Zomato Instant, under which the company planned to offer 10-minute deliveries for select food items. The service is currently available only in select areas of Gurgaon.
“Eating well does not have to be expensive or time-consuming. With fresh meals starting at only Rs 89, our customers can eat healthier and better daily,” the company wrote in a blog post.

Bill Gates buys minority stake in Heineken for $902 million🍺
Bill Gates has acquired a minority stake in Heineken Holding NV, the controlling shareholder of the world’s second-largest brewer, for about $902 million.
The Microsoft founder and philanthropist last week picked up 3.8% of Heineken Holding, according to a filing by the Dutch regulator AFM.
He bought 6.65 million shares in Heineken Holding, in his individual capacity, and another 4.18 million shares through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Trust.
