India's D Gukesh has made history by becoming the youngest player ever to win. Candidates tournament, which earns him the right to challenge chess world champion Ding Liren. This achievement surpasses a record set by the legendary Garry Kasparov four decades ago. The 17-year-old Indian Grandmaster Gukesh scored 9/14 points to clinch first place. Zomato hikes platform fee for users to Rs 5; pauses intercity deliveries
Zomato has hiked the platform fee it levies on customers for food delivery by 25% to Rs 5, effective April 20, according to information on the Gurugram-based company's app. Zomato services 2.0-2.2 million orders per day, and an increase of Re 1 for a large order base could add substantially to the company’s earnings over a quarter.
Track fishy transactions, RBI tells payment firms amid ongoing elections
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has asked payment system operators (PSOs) to step up their checks on digital payments across the country. In a letter dated April 15, the central bank asked PSOs or regulated payment companies to flag any high-value suspicious payments made during the time of the general elections.
Garena to localise India ops ahead of 'Free Fire' launch
Singapore's game publisher Garena is in the process of fully localizing its India operations before launching the blockbuster video game Free Fire in the country. Following the government's nudge for over seven months, Garena is finally moving its game server to India to be installed in Yotta Data Services' Navi Mumbai premises.

Climate-focused deeptech startup Ecozen has raised $30 million in a mix of debt and equity from Nuveen Global Fund and other existing equity investors, and new debt support from InCred Credit Fund and International Development Finance Corporation (IDFC).
Space tech startup Dhruva Space has raised $15 million (Rs 123 crore approximately) in its Series A round from Indian Angel Network Alpha Fund and Blue Ashva Capital, as well as Silverneedle Ventures, BIG Global Investment JSC (BITEXCO Group) IvyCap Ventures, Mumbai Angels, and Blume Founders Fund.
Aurionpro Solutions Limited has announced the strategic acquisition of Mumbai-based banking and insurance-focused PaaS startup Arya.ai. This will be an all-cash deal and the aggregate investment including secondary acquisition and fund infusion is approximately $16.5 million.
