Good morning and welcome to Tuesday’s edition of Rise & Shine!
"The universe doesn’t give you what you ask for with your thoughts; it gives you what you demand with your actions."
— Steve Maraboli
Today, Maraboli’s words remind us that dreams and intentions alone don’t shape our reality—our actions do. If you truly want something, don’t just think about it—take action.
The universe responds to effort, persistence, and movement, not just intentions. When you actively pursue your goals, doors start to open.

Perplexity AI ventures beyond search with ‘Comet’ agentic browser to rival Google Chrome
Aravind Srinivas-led Perplexity AI has confirmed that it will be launching a new browser called ‘Comet’ to provide an agentic search experience. The company released a vague teaser video for the browser and opened a waitlist but there is no guarantee yet on when it will release or what features it will power. Perplexity's AI-powered search is among the few alternatives trying to take on Google's dominance in the search engine market. With the Comet browser, Srinivasan is aiming to do the same thing, this time in an even more crowded market and one where Google's dominance is more stabilized.
Smartwatch shipments plunged 30% in 2024: Report
India's smartwatch shipments declined by 30% year-over-year in 2024, the first significant drop after years of growth. The decline in smartwatch demand is due to slower replacements, limited innovation in budget models, poor sensor accuracy, unclear options, and buyer dissatisfaction, according to a Counterpoint Research report.
Funding Deals
Geniemode, a business-to-business cross-border e-commerce startup, has raised over $50 million in its Series C round, led by Multiples Alternate Asset Management, with participation from Fundamentum, Paramark Ventures, and existing investor Info Edge Ventures.
Fintech unicorn Oxyzo has secured Rs 100 crore (approximately $12 million) in debt from AK Capital Finance, a subsidiary of merchant banker A.K. Capital Services Ltd.
🏃🏼♂️ Short Story: The Determined Athlete
Kabir wanted to run a marathon but spent months reading about training rather than running. Eventually, he realized that knowledge alone wouldn’t prepare him—only action would. He started small, running short distances every morning, increasing his pace and endurance.
Months later, he crossed the marathon finish line, realizing that action, not just intention, had made it possible.
