Blinkit launches 10-min ambulance service starting from Gurugram
Blinkit, Zomato's quick commerce arm known for its signature 10-minute grocery delivery, has ventured into emergency medical services. The platform launched its first ambulance service in Gurugram today, promising a 10-minute response time for critical healthcare needs.
Dunzo co-founder Kabeer Biswas might quit
Kabeer Biswas, co-founder and CEO of Dunzo, is set to move on after spending over a decade with the hyperlocal delivery company, people aware of the developments told Moneycontrol. Biswas is the latest co-founder to leave the firm, after Mukund Jha, Dalvir Suri and Ankur Agarwal quit the company, as reported exclusively by Moneycontrol earlier. To be sure, Dunzo will continue to operate in its current state.
Vi reportedly gears up for 5G rollout, plans 15% cheaper than Jio and Airtel
Vodafone Idea (Vi) is poised to debut its 5G mobile broadband services this March, introducing competitively priced plans to challenge rivals Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. The telecom giant’s 5G plans are expected to be approximately 15 per cent cheaper than those offered by its competitors, which already have expansive nationwide 5G networks.
Digilocker outage stalls user onboarding at fintech firms
New-age stock brokers are unable to onboard new customers as the government-backed Digilocker service has been disrupted. Tech-first broking platforms extensively use Digilocker as a service provider to authenticate their customers at the time of onboarding. While Digilocker disruption might be addressed in another day or two, industry insiders have pointed out the concentration risk on Digital Public Infrastructure.
Funding Deals
Electric vehicle (EV) financier Mufin Green has secured an $18 million loan from the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). The duration of the loan is 10 years.
CargoFL, a B2B technology ecosystem for logistics, has raised Rs 6.75 crore in its seed round, led by YourNest Venture Capital.
Suniel Shetty-backed Klassroom Edutech, an education-focused OTT platform, has secured undisclosed growth capital in its latest funding round. The round was led by ah! Ventures, with additional participation from LetsVenture, Hem Securities, Meteor Ventures, and Growth Sense Fund.
