Azim Premji gifts Wipro shares worth Rs 500 crore to sons Rishad and Tariq
Billionaire businessman and Wipro founder Azim Premji has gifted over 10 million or 1 crore shares, worth about Rs 500 crore to his two sons, Rishad and Tariq, according to data from the stock exchanges. The shares amount to 0.20% of the share capital of Wipro, adding 0.10% each to the sons’ holding in the company.
Groww to discontinue US stock trading services on trading app
Stockbroking platform Groww has stopped offering US stock investment services to its users through its app. It has asked users to either migrate to other platforms or withdraw their investments.
NFT owners face losses as Rario shuts current product
Investors who purchased non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are now facing huge losses as Rario said it is winding down its current product, effective January 29, and will relaunch it in March. The announcement sparked an uproar among retail investors who had put in about Rs 30-40 crore in NFT cards of over 1,100 cricketers, including the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag.

SoftBank has offloaded another 2% stake in digital payments firm Paytm, the latest in a series of divestments in Indian startups.

Ecofy, a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) dedicated to the last mile climate finance, has raised Rs 90 crore from FMO, the Dutch Entrepreneurial development bank.
NODWIN Gaming will acquire 100% of the shares of Comic Con India at a valuation of Rs 55 crore through a combination of cash and share swap from the co-founders of Comic Con India – Jatin Varma and Karan Kalra.
Genz-focused fast fashion brand Newme has raised $5.4 million (Rs 45 crore) in a seed funding round led by Fireside Ventures.
Embedded Finance startup Fixerra (formerly Fixed Invest) has raised Rs 14 crore in a seed round from marquee angel investors and family offices such as Jaideep Hansraj of Kotak Securities, Shailesh Haribhakti of Shailesh Haribhakti & Associates, Oisharya Das, CEO of Kotak Private.
