Ola eyes grocery and fashion foray on ONDC
Ride-hailing company Ola will soon offer its customers the option to shop for groceries and fashion and apparel on Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) via its app, broadening the suite of ecommerce offerings to its 75 million monthly active users. Currently, customers can only order food and beverages on ONDC through the Ola app.
BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover ventures into fintech with ZeroPe app
BharatPe co-founder and former managing director Ashneer Grover is gearing up for a new venture in the fintech space with ZeroPe, an app designed for medical loans. ZeroPe, currently in its testing phase, has been developed by Third Unicorn, according to its Google Playstore listing.
Reliance Retail's Tira launches 'Tira Tools', a line of premium, curated beauty accessories
Reliance Retail's Tira Beauty announced on April 11 the launch of its proprietary brand, "Tira Tools", marking its entry into the beauty accessories market. Tira Tools offers a curated range of high-quality beauty accessories including Pro Makeup Brushes, Facial Rollers, Beauty Sponges, and more. Tira Beauty mentioned that the Pro Artistry Kits are designed to serve the needs of both professional makeup artists and beauty enthusiasts.
Byju’s India CEO Arjun Mohan resigns as edtech firm splits biz into three divisions
Arjun Mohan, the chief executive officer of Byju’s India operations, has stepped down seven months after joining the edtech firm. His departure is part of the company’s restructuring and streamlining of its businesses.
Funding Deals
Digital lending platform RupeeRedee’s NBFC arm FincFriends has raised $7.8 Mn, in a mix of debt and equity, in a strategic round led by InCred Finance and Grow Money Capital.
ClaimBuddy, a health insurance claim assistance platform, has officially announced that it raised $5 million in Series A round led by Bharat Innovation Fund. The round also saw participation from Japanese fund CAC Capital, and existing investors including Chiratae Ventures and Rebright Partners.
Medical diagnostics platform 5C Network has raised Rs 25.5 crore (approximately $3 million) from Redwood India Healthcare Fund in a new round.
