Apple set for music, TV streaming fight in India after Airtel deal
Apple's partnership with India's second-biggest telecoms firm will give the iPhone maker a sorely needed boost in a content market where it lags far behind the likes of Spotify and Walt Disney. The U.S. technology giant, working to boost revenue globally from services including apps, payments and media, is set to offer free music and video streaming to many of Bharti Airtel's 281 million customers.
Fampay launches UPI app Namaspay for foreign travelers in India
Fampay by Trio has been looking at avenues to make money, and the firm has launched a unified payment interface (UPI)-powered payment app -Namaspay for foreign travelers in India. Namaspay is a separate app that allows travelers across continents including Europe, Africa, Australia, and the US. The app charges Rs 1,650 as one-time registration fees along with 4% and 1% on money loading and withdrawal, respectively.
Payment apps open pilots to cash in on NPCI’s new UPI Circle
Unified Payments Interface (UPI), the popular digital payments railroad, is betting big on UPI Circle, a new feature around to push the number of active users on a platform. Large payment apps are looking to take this feature live, with the likes of Amazon Pay, Google Pay, and PhonePe testing it in closed user groups.
Infibeam Avenues launches CCAvenue SoundBox Max
Fintech firm Infibeam Avenues has launched CCAvenue SoundBox Max, an all-in-one point of sale (POS) device tailored for merchants and retailers across India. According to CCAvenue, SoundBox Max is designed to reshape the payment landscape for retailers and merchants, offering them the flexibility to accept payments from multiple sources—UPI, debit cards, and credit cards.

Non-hospital medical tourism company Global Care has raised $3 million in Series A funding round led by 35North India Discovery Fund – II.
BigEndian Semiconductors, a fabless semiconductor design startup, raised $3 million in a funding round led by Vertex Ventures SEA & India.
