👑 Short Story: The Self-Aware Leader
Alex was a manager who struggled to understand why some members of his team were disengaged. He often attributed their lack of motivation to personal issues or laziness. One day, a mentor asked him to reflect on his own leadership style.
Was he fostering the kind of environment where people felt supported and inspired?
Alex spent time reflecting on his communication, noticing that he rarely gave feedback or offered support. This realization helped him become more empathetic to his team’s struggles.
By addressing his own shortcomings and making an effort to connect with his team, Alex was able to foster a more productive and positive workplace.
