DigiLocker set to be digital health document repositoryš
DigiLocker is expecting to soon have another major use case by becoming a repository for digital health documents, officials told. In the Budget, DigiLocker has been expanded for both personal and organisational support to streamline know-your-customer (KYC) processes.
"This is going to be used as a very effective container for all the health-related documents," RS Sharma told. Sharma is the former chief executive of National Health Authority (NHA) and former IT and telecom Secretary who launched DigiLocker.
Abhishek Singh, CEO, Digital India Corporation, under which DigiLocker is hosted, told, "the number of documents currently being stored is not very high because not all hospitals are issuing digital health records. This year I'm expecting a big push in the number of health documents that will come into DigiLocker.ā
Youtuber CarryMinati buys minority stake in esports firm Big Bang Esportsš®
Ā YouTuber Ajey Nagar who goes by the moniker CarryMinati and his business partner Deepak Char have picked up stake in Mumbai-based Big Bang Esports Private Limited.
The two have collectively taken a 10% stake in the esports division of Big Bang Media Ventures. The company is owned by film producer Madhu Mantena and former banker Ravneet Gill.
The esports company intends to build and establish its upcoming property Asia Open Esports Championship along with Nagar.
The championship will begin in February and will witness participation from about 40 countries in Asia and the Middle East.

ChatGPT sets record for fastest-growing user baseš
ChatGPT, the popular chatbot from OpenAI, is estimated to have reached 100 million monthly active users in January, just two months after launch, making it the fastest-growing consumer application in history, according to a UBS study.
The report, citing data from analytics firm Similarweb, said an average of about 13 million unique visitors had used ChatGPT per day in January, more than double the levels of December.
It took TikTok about nine months after its global launch to reach 100 million users and Instagram 2-1/2 years, according to data from Sensor Tower.
On Thursday, OpenAI announced a $20 monthly subscription, initially for users in the United States only.
